In which we try to restore our faith in humanity

Normal people aren't funny because they say normal, sane people things. Do you know about that blog? Of course not. The person writing it would either give it up after the first week, of be committed to an asylum for the good of the state.

As for this blog, this isn't "Insightful things Saint Louis says while contributing to an adult conversation" Popular things aren't happy things.

Taken from A story from KSDK, two people are being sought for questioning about a shooting and beating. It's a small story without much meat to it. Thankfully, that won't stop the knuckle draggers of the city from coming out of their sewers for a moment in the sun.

Let's just start at the beginning of this sandwich of silly. You may remember Pat Damouth from the last post where we discovered we are all just cowardly racists. Now, we learn about the 'snitches get stitches' rule.

To be honest, I will admit Pat doesn't sound too terrible here. The comment featured today doesn't sound overly racist, and really isn't far beyond what many of us expect from those around us. We all shirk the law one way or another and hope our friends and neighbors won't call us out on our lawns being slightly overgrown or the inexplicable dirt pile that sets off geiger counters. Maybe you shouldn't be letting your kids run through my back yard, ever think of it that way?

Hell, Soldiers have a term known as "Blue Falcon" which refers to a fellow Soldier screwing you over, either by ratting you out or not backing you up.

If you're confused about the term, in less polite company it's called "buddy fucker"

Unfortunately for Pat, we already know they are an outspoken, brave racist unlike the rest of us, so I can't count this in their favor. In fact, everything from the fingers of this commenter will be tainted with their outspoken love for hate, so I shouldn't try to include it in this post. Lord knows I don't want to start a racist witch hunt.

Good thing we have Cheryl Pearson to help us out with our language in such a situation by explaining there is a difference in sound and spelling between brother and 'bruther'. Since the story has mugshots of two black people, Cheryl feels we need to make the proper distinction between two people genetically connected or if they have something more than blood. Something more than sharing a mother.

You know what, I'm just going to assume both parties here aren't being racist. I want to believe everyone here is trying to be truly understanding of deeper connections which transcends race, and truly attempts to include us all into one race. The human race.

Wow, way to fuck it up, Robert Wood...

  1. having played the violent crime game in washington park, it's not a race thing, but there, snitching WILL get you killed. an 8 year old witness to my crime was told that if she spoke on it, both she and her mother would be killed.

and don't forget about the witness in the trial for the murder of the MAYOR who was intimidated by a cop (who is now, thankfully, doing fed time). that ain't race, that's just assholes.
