In which a shitty person decides the definition of "captivity"

Years back, a teenager by the name of Shawn Hornbeck was kidnapped. He disappeared for year and was discovered alive and well in 2007 after a four year captivity. It was one of those crazy stories that gripped the country. That a child considered probably dead in a ditch somewhere was found healthy and alive was a cause to celebrate.
